Dr. Melissa McCulley, Owner, Optometrist
Dr. Melissa McCulley is the owner and optometrist at McCulley Optix Gallery, a premier eye care and eyewear boutique in Fargo, North Dakota. Since founding the practice in 2006, Dr. McCulley has been committed to delivering exceptional eye care and curating a distinctive eyewear experience for the community.
Dr. McCulley graduated with honors from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Spanish and pre-medical studies. She went on to graduate with honors from Southern College of Optometry, earning her Doctor of Optometry degree. Her clinical experience includes time at the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology, where she specialized in fitting specialty contact lenses and working with low vision patients. Dr. McCulley is also highly experienced in pediatric care and has a particular interest in treating dry eye patients.
Her passion for optometry is centered around helping people find personalized solutions to their vision needs. Whether it's fitting contact lenses or guiding patients through the adjustment to first-time progressive or bifocal lenses, Dr. McCulley loves providing tailored solutions that improve her patients' quality of life.
Under her leadership, McCulley Optix Gallery has become known for its curated selection of luxury eyewear and patient-centered care. The practice offers a full range of services, including comprehensive eye exams, pediatric care, contact lens fittings, and specialized dry eye treatments.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. McCulley is an active member of the local business community. She has been recognized as a CooperVision Best Practices Honoree and has participated in various mentorship and leadership programs, including the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce's Intentional Collisions events.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. McCulley enjoys painting, reading, and baking. In the summer, she loves spending weekends at the lake with her husband, Rial, and their two daughters.
